The connecting road project between Marshal Gelovani Avenue and Machavariani Street is one of the capital's most ambitious transport-infrastructure and landscaping initiatives. The project involved stabilizing and greening steep slope terrains alongside the newly constructed highway, delivering a complete dendrological transformation of the corridor.
Addressing challenging slope topographies, complex soil conditions, and soil erosion risks presented a major engineering and landscaping obstacle. The key priority was identifying resilient plant varieties with deep root systems capable of reinforcing the terrain while enduring extreme weather conditions and providing visual appeal.
We implemented specialized slope greening and roadside dendrological design by introducing soil-stabilizing, climate-resilient ornamental trees and shrubs. As a result, the highway corridor was fortified with a visually refined, ecologically sound, and sustainable green infrastructure.
